Skiing conditions

Many different conditions are needed in order to produce a ski resort. The mountain must be of high altitude, there must be a large amount of snowfall at this area, there must be wintery weather in the area for the skiing months.
The mountain itself must also be maintained throughout the year to ensure that the slopes keep free of trees, rocks, and other hazardess things.
During the skiing season srteficial snow is often needed after long periods of time without significant snowfall. this arteficial snow is made from frozen water and is pumped onto the ski slopes by metal pipes which are spread around throughout the mountain.
During the day the snow begins to melt and form into small boulders of condensed snow scattered around the slopes, This is harder and less enjoyable for skiiers to ski on. After the skiing day is over, Large machines drive around the mountain flattening the snow using a small amount of water and dragging a long carpet behind. The temperatures drop very low during the night and freeze the snow into this new postion for the next day of skiing. www.thetravelpeach.com/.../skiing.jpg this is a photo of a person skiing, practicing their carving technique.
